A 17 inch non-cutaway hollow body, 2.8 inches deep, in laminated spruce over flame maple, with the Throwback F-holes, stairstep tailpiece and scroll headstock that make a D'Angelico recognisable across a room.

The USA Seymour Duncan Johnny Smith floating mini-humbucker sits off the top rather than set into it, so the guitar's acoustic voice comes through the pickup instead of being replaced by it. One volume, one tone, and a warm woody tone that sits perfectly in a jazz trio or behind a vocalist.

Three-piece set-thru neck with a C profile, bound ebony fingerboard with full block inlays, 24.75 inch scale, 1 and 11/16 inch bone nut, gold hardware and Grover Super Rotomatics. Strung with flatwound 12s.
